Every chef remembers that moment in their life, a spark of inspiration. “This is what I want to do for the rest of my life.”

The source could be a special dish, a favorite restaurant, or their first successful dinner party. Most will admit, it all started during childhood. Standing next to Momma at the stove. Or Grandma’s flour covered apron, dusting the rolling pin, cutting out the biscuits for the family.

Whether it was a quiet picnic in the park or an overflowing holiday get-together, there was usually ONE recipe that stood above all the rest.

Each program on The Recipe Box will spotlight the special memories, recipes and techniques of a professional chef. It is our hope that you will be inspired to download and try the recipes for yourself. Then give us your opinion. Or better yet, recommend your favorite chef, restaurant, or recipe for the show.
